GMAT Exam Structure 2020 , Eligibility Criteria and Exam Date
The GMAT exam is a computer-adaptive test that assesses candidates' analytical writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English. From 16 April 2018, the Graduate Management Admission Council has shortened the GMAT exam to 30 minutes. Now, the exam is of 3 hours and 30 minutes which includes test instructions and breaks. The Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Sections were shortened by 13 and 10 minutes respectively. The score preview and optional break time remained the same, along with integrated reasoning and analytical writing assessment.GMAT Exam candidates have an option to select a section in which they feel most comfortable to take the exam.

What are the eligibility criteria for the GMAT exam?
As such, there is no eligibility criterion set by the GMAC, the body appearing for the GMAT exam conducts the GMAT. However, one must always meet the eligibility criteria set by the university/college, which one aspires to achieve after giving the GMAT.
Age criteria
- Candidate must have completed 18 years of age
- There is no upper age limit for the candidate.
- If the candidate is between 13 and 17 years of age, they should obtain written permission from their parents or legal guardian.
Educational Qualifications
- GMAC has not announced any official statement about the qualifications required to appear for the GMAT.
- Candidates who wish to enroll for the MBA program must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
GMAT Exam Fee
The application fee for the GMAT exam is $ 250, which will change to around INR 17,000. In addition, if applicants wish to change the center or reschedule the test they will be charged an additional $ 50.
GMAT Cancellation Fee: If you cancel the exam 7 days before the exam date, you will be refunded US $ 80. Also, if you cancel within 7 days of the trial date you will not receive any refund. Further, the test appointment cannot be canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled test and time.
GMAT Rescheduling Fee: If you reschedule the exam 7 days before the exam date you will have to pay a US $ 60.00 fee. In addition, if you reschedule the exam within 7 days of the exam date you will have to pay a US $ 240.00 fee. In addition, the exam cannot be rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled test date and time.
How to register for GMAT?
According to GMAC, you can register for the latest GMAT exam 6 months before the GMAT exam date or 24 hours before the GMAT exam date, however, the last-minute slot is not available. Therefore, it is suggested to book your favorite slots well before the planned exam date.

GMAT Exam Dates
There is no fixed official GMAT date, you can choose any date as per your convenience and availability. If you need to repeat the GMAT exam after 16 days. You can take or re-take the GMAT exam every 16 days. You can appear for the exam up to five times a year. Ideally, candidates are recommended to register themselves two to three months before the exam date. If you register online or by phone, you can register yourself 24 hours before the exam date.
